Workers Compensation
Workers' Compensation insurance (WC) provides wage replacement and medical benefits to employees injured during the course of employment in exchange for mandatory relinquishment of the employee's right to sue their employer for negligence.
Accidents will happen; even with the most diligent safety efforts an employee may still be injured. Under the California's Workers’ Compensation Act employers are required by law to provide medical treatment and WC benefits for any employee who is accidentally injured or killed. WC protects the employer by covering the costs of getting injured employees healed and back to work, including:
-
Medical expenses
-
Disability expenses
-
Rehabilitation expenses
-
Death Benefits
-
Lost wages
-
Lawsuit Legal Fees
